Arrival and departure
What are the check-in and check-out times?
Check-in is between 14:00 and 22:00, check-out by 11:00. If you’re arriving after 22:00, call us from the road on +40 749 488 982.
Where do I park?
In the courtyard, free of charge. The courtyard has video surveillance.
How do I get to Casa Sima?
The address is Str. Progresului 29C, Curtea de Argeș, about 600 m from the Monastery. The contact page has buttons for Google Maps and Waze.
Rooms and prices
How much is a night?
The garden-view double is 200 lei a night and the balcony double 220 lei, for two people (about €40–44). Some periods are priced differently; the calendar shows the exact total, and the host confirms it when you book.
How many people fit in a room?
Two, in a double bed. All five rooms are doubles with a private bathroom with shower.
We’re travelling with children. Is that OK?
Yes, children over one are welcome. We don’t have cots or extra beds, so little ones sleep with their parents. Ask us about the price for children when you book. There’s a play area in the yard with a trampoline and swings.
Do the rooms have air conditioning and WiFi?
Yes, every room has air conditioning, a smart TV and free WiFi.
Booking
How do I book a room?
Pick your nights in the availability calendar and send us the request on WhatsApp, or call +40 749 488 982. We’ll confirm the room and tell you how to pay. You can also find us on Booking.com.
Does sending a request from the website mean I’ve booked?
Not yet. The calendar shows what’s free, but the room is booked only once the host confirms on WhatsApp or by phone.
Facilities and house rules
Is breakfast included?
We don’t serve breakfast. You’re welcome to use the fully equipped kitchen on the covered terrace, and there’s coffee at the bar.
Can we use the barbecue and the kitchen?
Yes. The brick barbecue, the covered terrace and the kitchen are for guests.
Can I bring my dog?
Sorry, no. Pets aren’t allowed.
Can we hold a meal or an event?
For a family meal or a small group, yes, let’s talk. We don’t accept parties, including stag and hen dos. It’s quiet from 22:00 to 07:00, and smoking isn’t allowed indoors.
The area
How far are the Monastery, Poenari Fortress and Vidraru Dam?
Curtea de Argeș Monastery is about 600 m away, roughly a 7-minute walk. Poenari Fortress is about 23 km (35 minutes by car) and Vidraru Dam 28 km (45 minutes), on the Transfăgărășan. Details in our guide to the area.
When is the Transfăgărășan open?
The mountain section towards Bâlea Lake is only open in the warm season, usually from June or July to the end of October, from 07:00 to 21:00. In 2026 it opened on 12 June. More on the Transfăgărășan page.
